Florence Design Academy
This page contains the work I completed for my courses at the Florence Design Academy. The slides are organized by course and are the final projects I submitted for grading. All other personal work can be located under "Personal Projects"
3Ds MAX Autodesk
The images above are from my Spring 2021 3Ds MAX final. The assignment was to create a two story apartment 8x8M and chose an architect that inspired us. I find Elizabeth Roberts work to be beautiful, which is what I based my project on. I created all of the moulding and designed the shape of the house.
Interior Decoration HomeByMe
The slides above are the weekly assignments and final project that I completed for my Decoration course. I learned about 7 layers of design, and emphasizing each one for a homework assignment. The rendering software I used was HomeByMe. It was an effective online software to use for decoration because most materials and furniture are priced through the website so I could understand a budget while designing the space for a grade.
Art History of Florence
Learning about the History of Florence has been one of my favorite subjects while living in Italy.Understanding the art and design throughout the centuries has been fascinating. My professor assigned two projects during the Spring semester. To design a living space based off of one of Leonardo Da Vinci's pieces of art. And a cafe that would go next to Santi Apostle in piazza de Limbo in a modern Romanesque style.
For the Leonardo project I chose his piece "Lady with an Ermine" in which I designed a Renaissance style study with deep blues and reds with accents of gold. The cafe I thought of a lot of natural light and marble to be influenced in this space. And I made the flow similar to what a modern day café represents.

Furniture Design
By using previous course skills I was able to apply my knowledge of sketching and decoration research to furniture design. In this course I had the opportunity to design multiple pieces of furniture with a new understanding of materials and joinery. Sketches above show some of the pieces I had created for credit.
Sketching 01 & 02
During these courses I learned the fundamentals of sketching. From multiple perspectives, shapes, and shadows. Starting with pencils then moving to fine liners, pastels, and markers. These courses have resulted in more accurate, and quick, interior design sketches.
